Metal Fabrication in Port Stephens
One job, one price, one date — even when it takes three trades.

Most fabrication jobs are not just welding. There is a machined bush in it, a folded plate, a bored hole that has to be in the right place, and a weld that holds it all together. Get those from three separate suppliers and you spend more time chasing people than the job is worth.
We run the job. We do the design and the machining ourselves, we have sheet metal cut and folded through our partner facility, and welding goes to the welders we work with. You get one contact, one quote and one delivery date.

How we put a fabricated job together
1. Design. Todd models the whole assembly in Fusion 360 — parts, fits, fastener positions, weld prep, clearances. You see it before it is made, and problems get found on the screen rather than on the floor.
2. Machining. Anything needing accuracy gets machined in-house: bores, bearing seats, pivot points, mating faces, threads. This is the part that separates a fabricated assembly that works from one that “nearly fits”.
3. Cutting and folding. Flat parts get profile cut and folded to our DXFs and flat patterns.
4. Welding. Handled by the welders we work with. See welding.
5. Finishing. Powder coating, hot-dip galvanising, anodising, passivation and painting are all arranged through the finishers we use every week, and the finish is priced into the job with one date for the lot.

What we fabricate
- Frames and stands — machine stands, equipment frames, mounting bases
- Brackets and mounts — heavy-duty, one-off, made to fit what you have got
- Guards and covers — machine guarding, safety covers, belt and pulley guards
- Trailer and vehicle components — trailer frames, drawbars, toolboxes, canopy and roof rack mounts, recovery point brackets, and repairs
- Machinery modifications — adapting equipment to do something the manufacturer never intended
- Repair fabrication — cracked, bent and fatigued components rebuilt properly
- Assemblies combining machined and fabricated parts — the ones nobody else wants to coordinate

Machined-in accuracy
This is the difference between a fabricated part from a machine shop and a fabricated part from a fab shop.
Weld a bracket up and the heat pulls it out of shape — that is physics, and every good welder knows it. Where the part has a critical hole, a bearing seat, or a face that has to sit flat, we machine it after welding. The part comes back off the welder, goes on the mill, and gets cut to size once the distortion has already happened.
Nobody notices when this is done properly. Everybody notices when it is not.
Materials
Mild steel for structural and general work. 4140 heat-treated for pins, shafts and highly loaded components. 316 stainless for marine, food and washdown environments. Aluminium where weight matters.
Small jobs welcome
A single bracket is fine. A one-off frame is fine. There is no minimum order and no charge for having a look at what you have got.
