Welding
Straight answer first: we do not weld in-house. We deliver welding through a welder we have worked with for years.

We could dress that up. We would rather you knew exactly what you are getting.
Welding is a trade, and a good welder is worth having. Rather than pretending we run a welding department, we work with someone who welds properly — steel, stainless and aluminium — and we handle everything around it: the design, the machining, the fit-up, the material and the delivery date.
The welders we use are ticketed. If your job needs a certified structural or pressure weld with paperwork, say so when you send the drawing and we will price it through a certified welder and manage it as one job.

Why come to us for it rather than straight to a welder
Because most welded jobs are not only welding.
If the part needs a bored and reamed hole, a bearing seat, a machined face or a thread, that is machining — and machining it before welding puts it out of position when the heat goes in. We machine it after the welding, once the distortion has already happened. That is why welded parts from a machine shop fit and welded parts done in the wrong order sometimes do not.
If the part needs to be designed, we design it in Fusion 360 first, with weld prep, clearances and fit-up worked out on the screen.
If parts need cutting and folding, we get that done.

What we handle
- Fabricated assemblies — frames, stands, brackets, guards, mounts
- Repair welding — cracked, fatigued and broken components
- Stainless welding — 316 marine and food-grade work
- Aluminium welding — boat and light-structure work
- Weld-then-machine jobs — the ones that need both, in the right order
- Modifications — cutting, extending, reinforcing and adapting existing machinery
MIG, TIG and stick, in steel, stainless and aluminium. Cast iron repairs and hardfacing as well. There is nothing on the list we will not look at — if it needs a specialist, we will find one and manage the job.

What we will tell you honestly
If your job is pure welding with no machining, no design and no coordination in it — a gate, a simple repair, a straightforward fabricated frame — you may be better off ringing a welder directly, and we will tell you so and often point you at someone.
Where we earn our keep is the jobs with a machined component in them, a design problem to sort out, or three trades that need coordinating so they land on the same day.
On-site work
Mobile welding — farms, boats, factories — we arrange through the mobile welders we work with, and we will come and measure up anything that cannot come to us. The machining stays here.
